In this blog, I share various vlog (video diary) entries of my last week at the Fitness & Business Academy in London, before I was successfully assigned on a ship – then take you through what I felt as I travelled to join the ship!
From day one at the Academy, I decided that I wanted to document my journey through videos and writing because I could feel in my spirit that this journey was something bigger and more meaningful than just a sequence of events. I decided that once again my story was somehow going to impact someone else out there, to motivate them that you can go through some stuff honey – oh you can…BUT you can rise through what others may see as “ashes” and make something out of those ashes – something that shines so bright like a star!
Below follows my vlog entries with the topics highlighted under the image of each vlog. Please click on the image or the highlighted link to view the video. Please note that these are just me, raw, Tee to the core and many of them recorded super early in the morning LOL…so you know the deal with having a tired face, no makeup!
HEADING INTO THE LAST WEEK OF THE ACADEMY!
DESTINATION LOADING…FINDING OUT WHICH SHIP I’M GOING TO!
Some of the moves from the workouts I would do early in the morning after studying. I would usually do 15 minutes just to stay fit and active. It was also great for relieving stress!
And so I got told the ship I was going to was Carnival UK’s P&O Arcadia, which was going, amongst other countries – around the Caribbean Islands that December 2018… and then round the world for the World Cruise 2019!! I couldn’t believe all the amazing destinations that I was going to see, whilst doing the work I love!
I was literally jumping up and down at the itinerary. So I was told that I was leaving 1 day before I had to hop onto a plane to fly to Lisbon, Portugal as the ship was docking there next and it was the closest place for me to board.
NIGHT BEFORE I BOARDED MY SHIP…ARRIVING IN LISBON, PORTUGAL!
The night before I boarded my ship I was sooo nervous and scared, but also excited about what the future held for me! I had heard bad and good things about ship life but had no idea what to expect. My friends and family didn’t know what to expect from me either. I had left Australia quite broken, so they were understandably afraid for but happy for me. But as you might know I rose and conquered ship life with all its ups and downs.
FIRST FEW DAYS ONBOARD!
ARRIVING IN MADEIRA!
WORKING OUT AS I ARRIVED IN EACH PORT…THIS ONE IN MADEIRA, SPAIN!
For me working out on the ship deck as I got to each port was like greeting that place in my own way. It also constantly reminded me of how I could teach others how to be in tune with their bodies and for me to be in tune with my own journey, whilst appreciating what I was doing. It was a form of therapy for me because that is my inborn passion (exercise) to help with physical, mental and spiritual health. Even through my ups and downs, fitness has kept me going!
Join me in the next blog as I talk about how fitness can help with your mental, emotional and spiritual health no matter where you are including for employees within the working environment. Hey…we work most of our lives whether within our own business or for employers – our mental health matters!
